WANTED!!!
WANTED: A VERY EXPERIENCED BIRD OWNER, WHO OWNS A HOUSE. FOR A VOCAL FEATHERED FRIEND. This adoption will be strictly screened, to ensure the best possible home.
SHAYO in foster care... possibly adopted
Cross your fingers everyone! Shayo a rabbit brought in to one of our affiliated clinics to be euthanized for aggression, has been placed in what seems to be an excellent foster home. They're intention is to adopt... if they can break through his angry facade and teach him how to be a lovey bunny. From what I hear... so far so good!
SHADOW New DOG for ADOPTION
Okay boys and girls, this little guy has a look all his own! Somewhere between maybe a spaniel, terrier, boston? Your guess is as good as mine! This medium size dog was found running around longueiul. We posted in search of his owner on Craigslist, notified the local animal control office and searched postings on Kijiji not to mention any and every other lost dog site I could find. No one has come forward to claim this specail lttle guy, after a week in our care he is now up for adoption.
Our wonderful foster family told us he's doing great! He loves to go on walks, he pulls a bit but knows to stop at intersections. He doesn't use a backyard well, doesn't know to do his business there and he looks for a way out (but that could be because he's not operated yet). He loves the dog park, he plays very well with other dogs. He does not do well in a crate/cage. He does bark when people come to the door, and when someone moves around up stairs but then he stops once he sees them. Apartment living might be out for this guy...
Shadow
Age 1-2 years
Size: Medium
Bunny Almost Fed as SNAKE FOOD, for adoption!
After placing SHAYO in foster care the foster family stopped off to buy a cage from someone off Kijji. Shortly after I received an urgent email advising us that the women selling the cage was so distressed about not being able to find a new home for her rabbit, she was considering giving him to someone who offered to take him, but to feed him to his snake!
Even if it was just a threat we couldn't take the chance, we got the poor bun out of there a.s.a.p!!! It seems the reason for the adoption was that the woman had developped allergies. In an attempt to reduce allergens in her home... this unfortunate bunbun was shaved! The woman was extremely lucky that she didn't cut through the skin, something that happens to easily when shaving rabbits.
Hopefully, a warm and loving home can see through the funny haircut and give this boy a loving, forever home!
Hehe... I've named him Snake, I'm sure this will be changed in his new home but I thought this was a good boy name aside from his story.
Snake is a Holland Lop cross
Approx. 2 yrs
Neutered today!
Supposed to be litter box trained (stress can affect this)
PLEASE CAN'T SOMEONE GIVE THIS LITTLE GUY A CHANCE? HE NEEDS A FOREVER FAMILY!!!

Sunday, February 21st - Meet 'N Greet with Dewey / Nail Cutting Fundraiser
Date: Sunday February 21st 2010
Time: 11 - 16h
Place: Natural Animal (4932B Rue Sherbrooke Ouest)
MEET DEWEY: Dewey is a regular little pup; full of love, joy, happiness, gets into trouble and still has accidents in the house. He is your typical 3 months old puppy. However unfortunately for Dewey his elbow was broken while being punished for something that, well every puppy does. Dewey had an accident in the house. He then faced two options, being euthanized at such a young age or having the corrective specialized orthopeadic surgery done.
Eleven Eleven had his surgery done at Hopital Veterinaire Rive-Sud Friday Feburary 12th.
This is a chance for everyone who has donated or would like to personally. Come and meet the little Mr. Man – Dewey! He is very excited to meet all the faces that helped save his life.
After everything he has been through. Feel welcome to sign his cast with some words of encouragement. If you are going to have to lug around a goofy cast, might as well have some fun with it?
We still have a fair way to go to cover his surgery costs so we are also having a nail cutting fundraiser. With donations of 5$ or more your pet gets a free nail cut! Rabbits, cats, dogs, all welcome!
(People who have already donated online we will have a list so bring your furry critter by, we will cut their nails for free!)
*We will also have items and T-Shirts from our newly launched store for sale at the event - skip the mailing fee and get them at the discounted price!
See store here:

Jiminy Cricket Adopted!
Little Jiminy was adopted last night!! He has come such a long way from when we first rescued him at 8 weeks old from the feral cat population (#01NDG09) as a feral kitten. We had to use nets and gloves to catch him. You can not even tell now that he was ever afraid of humans. He is one little kitty with a whole lot of love (and energy). Seeing him get adopted to such a nice home makes freezing our toes off trying to catch him for an hour two months ago 110% worth it!
We got this update from his new mom this morning;
"Just wanted to let you know that Jiminy (or Macbeth, as I have renamed him), is doing very well! I did put all his necessities in one room (litterbox, food, toys, blankets) but the first thing he did was explore the whole apartment. He did stay in the room alone for awhile, but came out a lot in the evening to explore and play with the Cat Dancer.
He ended up sleeping on my pillow, and this morning woke me up with loud purring and lots of kisses on my nose! He is VERY friendly and affectionate today, and full of energy. :)
Thank you for everything! I'm so happy with Macbeth, and he seems pretty happy too. :)"
Minoush Adopted!
Minoush has been adopted after looking for a home for months! This little jem was dropped off at a clinic to be euthanized by her previous owners, their reasoning was; they no longer wanted her. At least they were honest! Anyways - their loss (losers). She is a fantastic kitty and now after 5 years of life has finally found the warm loving home she deserved from the start!

Curly Adopted
Curly has come a long way from where he started! An unwanted litter left on the balcony to freeze to death when the owners moved, wound up in a pound and was shortly on death row once his time was up. He is now in a fantastic, loving, active house hold with kids, a country house, an older doggy brother.. the works! Curly his the jack pot with his new home, and we are very happy to have been able to rescue such a great little pup!
Good luck Curly, you have a whole life ahead of you now!

NEW Sponsor an Animal - Dewey
Dewey is a regular little pup; full of love, joy, happiness, gets into trouble and still has accidents in the house. He is your typical 3 months old puppy. However unfortunately for Dewey his elbow was broken while being punished for something that, well every puppy does. Dewey had an accident in the house. He then faced two options, being euthanized at such a young age or having the corrective surgery done.
The corrective surgery will need to be done by a specialist, and will involved pins, nuts, bolts, medications, check-up’s, follow up x-rays and more check – up’s.. I short A LOT of money.
Eleven Eleven has taken the little guy on, and is hoping to come up with enough donations to cover the surgery costs.. to save little Dewey.
Dewey is a fantastic puppy, with a whole life ahead of him; an accident in the house should not have to mean the end of his short life (or a broken elbow).

URGENT!!
We rescued a baby bernese x golden pup tonight who's knee was broken while being scolded for having an accident. Pictures and sponsorship program will be up asap. We are going to need every ones help to save list little pup!
We hate to sound desperate, but we absolutely will not be able to afford it with out every ones help. Full write up, pictures and flyers will be up soon. Cross posting will be very appreciated!
He also needs a dedicated foster home to see him through the surgery, post op and recovery until adoption.
NEWTON - Hedgehog for adoption
We now have a very cute 2 year old little hedgehog for adoption. He came to us because his owners no longer had the time to devote to him. This little boy is quite special, once he un-rolls he gives kisses! Not the usual kiss, kiss, kiss, BITE hedgies are known for, real kisses and lots of them! He's too sweet. DAISY CUTIE - NEW RABBIT FOR ADOPTION
We have a new addition to the Eleven Eleven family! Daisy Cutie is 2 year old Holland Lop weighing in at approximatly 6lbs. She found her way to us because one of the children in her original home developpped a severe allergy to her. The child ended up at the hospital a couple of times before the parents found us. It was a very hard decision for the entire family, but a necessary one. It was too the point had they not found a place for her they would have had to euthanise her, so we came to the rescue! Eleven Eleven has made a promise to the family to find a loving and nuturing home where Daisy will be loved and well cared for. For more info contact Leigh at exotics@elevenelevenanimalrescue.org

Porscha Adopted!
Porscha was rescued in November and after 4 months has now bee ADOPTED! She is a true survivor and was the vicitim of for profit breeding. Because of the negelctful conditions she was kept in and poor genetics Porscha has NO tear production. She arrived with leathery dry eyes, the docotors did not even belive they would be able to recover. But this little mircale worker, worked her maigic along with intensive eye treatments and a fantastic foster mom Porscha slowly regained her vision! She however will never have tear production, and for the rest of her life will always be on eye ointments. Even with that Porscha was able to find an EXCEPTIONAL home, with a new sister! She is one lucky pup and is now finally getting the second chance at life so many people have fought for her to have. Thank you to her beyond amazing foster mum Leesa, and the amazing adoptive home who looked past her special needs and what what we all saw, just Porshca a perfect little flawless pup.

New Arrival - Jill
Jill:
Age: Young
Sex: Female
Breed: Shih-Tzu cross (Hypoallergenic)
Size: Small
Date Rescued: January 31st 2009
Not Recommended: Children under 14
Jill is a survivor. Jill has suffered and survived the torture of being in a puppy mill at the mercy of a human for the greed of making money to produce that cute puppy you see at the pet store. She was one of many surrendered by the puppy mill who no longer had use for them. However unlike all the others Jill remains the most reserved, she is in short petrified of humans (For very good reasons). However despite how scared she is, she has no mean bone in her. She needs work, a lot of work and someone willing to help bring her out of her shell and undo all the wrongs and injustice she has suffered at the hands of humans. She is a sweet heart, and is just waiting for that special person to spoil her with love and show her that us humans ‘aint all that bad!

Recent Puppy Mill Seizure / Foster homes needed
11-11 took a tour of some of the recent puppy mill dogs at The SPCA today. Lets just say it took us 3 hours to go through them all, there are so many right now. The small breeds are mostly great tempered, however there was one little girl who won out hears over. Jill was hovering in a corner and petrified of people or being touched, so we took her in the rescue! She obviously needed the extra TLC and we could not leave her behind. She is now being foster my one of the team members, Caroline. We also plan to take on a few more.. but we need foster homes! This is were YOU come into play, if you have ever thought about fostering NOW IS THE TIME. These pups need YOUR help. Besides the small dogs, there are also about 40 large golden/husky crosses. Most very well socialized but many absolutely scared of people, however very curious! They just need someone with a little patience willing to pull them out of their shells (We are unable to post pictures of them because they are still in court with the previous owner).
We will also be taking on a 3 legged pregnant husky from them, ready to give birth literally any day now! She will also be fostered within the team by Joanne.
If you have ever thought about fostering NOW is the time. Click Here to see more information about fostering.

New arrival - Bowser
Bowser:
Age: Young (2yrs)
Sex: Male / Neutered
Breed: Main Coon cross
Date Rescued: January 28th 2009
Reason rescued: Bowser is sweet as can be, he is one big baby. Literally - 13lbs of cat. But hey, 13lbs of loove! More to go around right. Bowser wound up in someone’s garage as a kitty and they occasionally gave him food, so he stayed around for 2 years! Finally 2 days before the elderly couple had to move into an old age home they realized the boxes were packed, couched wrapped in plastic, movers booked but wait, the cat in the garage? At least they remembered him. As they were seeking a cheap place to ‘dispose of him’ they did not want to pay veterinary euthanasia fees, and then came across Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue as a cheaper alternative to ‘dispose him’. Point being, he has been rather neglected for the first two years of his life, but now he things have turned around for him and he is looking to find a comfy warm lap to call his. Instead of a cold cement garage floor, for once.
New arrival - Kodie

Sex: Male
Breed: Terrier cross
Size: Small (27lbs)

Curly - Update

Sponsor an Animal – Rocco
Rocco had his surgery last week and is already feeling much better! He is having a check-up at the DMV tomorrow to make sure everything is a-ok. Justin (his owner) and him can not thank everyone enough for what they have done to help Rocco, with out everyones support Justin would not have been able to have this surgery done for Rocco. Although even though the surgery has been done we still have a long way in fundraising to go, we are only 1/3 of the way there for paying off the bill. We still have 2000$ to pay back to the DMV who graciously let us go ahead and have the surgery done before we had the money. The DMV foundation covered 1000$ of the cost, we have paid 1000$ but we still have 2000$ more to go.

Foster Home Needed
We just got this email in.. it is pretty urgent!!! Moustache's owner is moving into an old age home and can not bring him, her alternative is to euthanize if he can not find somewhere to go. He is only a year old and very healthy. Most likely castrated, but we will need to confirm.
*Rescued - Now waiting to go into a foster home
