Jiminy Cricket Adopted!

Little Jiminy was adopted last night!! He has come such a long way from when we first rescued him at 8 weeks old from the feral cat population (#01NDG09) as a feral kitten. We had to use nets and gloves to catch him. You can not even tell now that he was ever afraid of humans. He is one little kitty with a whole lot of love (and energy). Seeing him get adopted to such a nice home makes freezing our toes off trying to catch him for an hour two months ago 110% worth it!

We got this update from his new mom this morning;

"Just wanted to let you know that Jiminy (or Macbeth, as I have renamed him), is doing very well! I did put all his necessities in one room (litterbox, food, toys, blankets) but the first thing he did was explore the whole apartment. He did stay in the room alone for awhile, but came out a lot in the evening to explore and play with the Cat Dancer.

He ended up sleeping on my pillow, and this morning woke me up with loud purring and lots of kisses on my nose! He is VERY friendly and affectionate today, and full of energy. :)

Thank you for everything! I'm so happy with Macbeth, and he seems pretty happy too. :)"

Minoush Adopted!

Minoush has been adopted after looking for a home for months! This little jem was dropped off at a clinic to be euthanized by her previous owners, their reasoning was; they no longer wanted her. At least they were honest! Anyways - their loss (losers). She is a fantastic kitty and now after 5 years of life has finally found the warm loving home she deserved from the start!

Crackers Adopted!

Crackers was adopted yesterday afternoon, after months of looking for a new home! What a lucky lady! Special thanks to the great team at the Arterie Boutique who took her in as their store cat, showed her a-lot-a love AND founder her the home!

Alice - Adopted!

Alice was brought into a clinic to be euthanized for fleas just before christmas. She was rescued, and has now been adopted into a loving home with a little 8 year old girl who is already very in-love with her. This is one happy tail!

Pheonix - Adopted!

Phoenix was abandoned and ended up in a pound. She was at risk of being euthanized to make space so we took her in. She has now been adopted into a very loving home and will spend the rest of her life being well taken care of and spoiled with love like she deserves.

Jack Sparrow - Adopted!

Little Jack Sparrow was adopted tonight and is now in his new home. Who would have know just two weeks ago he was roughing it in the cold outside! Now he is a little ball of love, and energy, loving the indoor life.

Honey Adopted

Honey was rescued August 14th and adopted October 11th. This little girl was found on a busy road  completely lost and abandoned. She is now enjoying her new life in New York!! How exciting. 

Cricket (Now Sophie) - Adopted

Cricket was rescued August 30th and adopted October 9th. Circket was rescued from a feral cat population and was one of 15 feral kittens. This lucky girl is now in her new home and enjoying her new life being pampered.

Panda - Adopted!

Panda was rescued September 8th and adopted September 25th. He was rescued from a feral cat population, he was one of 15 feral kittens borne to three stray mothers. We worked hard to socialize him and his siblings and continue to try and place them. He came in scared out of his mind of humans, covered in fleas and very skinny. In our care he flourished into a healthy playful kitten. He continues to flourish and come out of his shell in his new home now where he is turning into an affectionate house cat. He has come a long way from where he started on the streets and we are happy to say he is finally in his forever home. 

Diamond

Diamond was rescued August 3rd and adopted September 11th. Diamond and her siblings (Twister & Daisy) were brought in a box, all very sick and had an upper respiratory infection, Rhinotracheitis virus. Diamond was the sickest of the group, she was so affected by the infection she could barley breathe. We were not sure if she was strong enough to fight off the infection, even with the antibiotics. But we gave her a chance, and to our surprise she responded amazingly to the treatment!! She has now almost completely overcome the infection. On top of a sever upper respiratory infection Diamond had a nasty eye infection, leaving both of her third eye lids retracted. Her eye infection has now completely cleared up. Diamond now healthy and after a harsh start to life, has been placed in her forever home were she can finally live in peace.

Madeleine Adopted

Madeleine: was rescued July 18th 2009 and adopted September 1st 2009. Madeleine and her sister Moon  were born in the garage of someone's house. He didn't bother too much with them, leaving them to be completely unsocialized. He was planning to kick them out to the streets, to only reproduce and add to the stray cat over population. When Madeleine was first caught she was so scared of everyone. Madeleine and her sister were place in two separate foster homes to be socialized. They both thrived in their foster homes. Madeleine turned into an adorable, playful, loving little girl. She has now been placed in a loving home where she will be cherished for the rest of her life.

Moon

Moon: The sister of Madeleine,  was adopted by her amazing foster family within the first week of fostering her. She is such a doll and won over their hearts pretty fast, and even their cats heart who was not to pleased with her at first. Her and her sister were borne in the shed of a mans house by a stray cat, they lived there for 5 weeks with out any human contact. Because they had no human contact, they were feral kittens. They were facing being kicked out of the shed, and becoming just another cat in the stray cat population. To avoid this, and avoid the hundreds of babies they would have produced, we decided to take them on. To catch them, live traps were set and constantly checked. Moon was the first one to be caught, although having no human contact she actually tolerated being handled very well. She was tiny, and riddled with fleas. She was then placed in her foster family where within days she came out of her shell. She became a loving affectionate, playful, little kitten and continues to grow and thrive in her now forever home. 

Pickle Adopted!

Pickle was rescued from the outdoors August 30th and Adopted November 15th. He was rescued after being borne to a stray mother. He is one of 15 stray kittens from the population we are trying to place. This little man is a looker! With his mother being Siamese, he inherited her eyes. He has beautiful blue-green eyes that are accented but his gorgeous coat. He was from an older litter of kittens from this population, so we had a harder time gaining his trust. He has now found that special home to give him the extra patience and TLC he needs.

Lilly Adopted

Lilly was rescued August 21st and Adopted October 15th. Lilly was found abandoned and sleeping in a pile of dirt on the side of a street. She was brought to us covered in dirt, and completely peppered in cuts and scabs from head to toe, not to mention also very skinny. She has not let her previous life affect her however! She is one big baby, and just loves attention. She loves to purr and get rubbed down head to toe. She is very healthy and has been seen by a veterinarian who thinks she is around 2 years old. Lilly is now looking for a place she can finally call home.

Delilah Adopted

Delilah was rescued from a feral cat population October 14th, and adopted November 8th. She is now enjoying her new indoor life style. She was never really a street cat in her eyes. This delecate little girl would have never made it on the streets. She is still adjusting to living with us humans but so far has gotten pretty comfortable with the overdose of affection. She is a little timid, but will a little back rub she comes right out of that shell! and oh boy can she puurr! She is one little ball of a lotta love and now has found someone to share it with!

Penguin Adopted

Penguin was rescued from the outdoors after being borne to a stray mother August 30th, and adopted November 10th. He was one of 15 stray kittens from the population we are trying to place. This little charmer is such a handsome little man. He is a little guy and much smaller than any of his siblings. If you have ever heard the expression "Lap Cat" then you know what i am talking about, this guy is the definition of a Lap Cat. Oh does he purrrrr, he purrs and purrs and... purrs. We are happy to say he has now beed adopted and sharing his abundance of love with his new home.

Pepper Adopted!

Pepper was rescued August 30th and adopted November 8th. She was rescued after being borne to a stray mother. She was one of the first kittens we were able to catch. She came is terrified of humans, but with just a little socialization she came around, and blossomed into a whole new kitty. We are happy to say she will now enjoy her life in the comfort of her new home.

Daisy Adopted!

Daisy: Was rescued August 3rd and adopted August 29th. This beautiful girl almost had a very early end to her life when she was going to be euthanized with her siblings (Twister & Diamond) for being sick. They all had an upper respiratory track infection, caused by the rhinotracheitis virus. It is a very common infection that many street cats an SPCA cats acquire. Daisy was born outside to a stray mother but was raised in close human contact.  She is one of the most affectionate cats I have met, she constantly purrs and looks for love. She has now finally found a home to reciprocate her unconditional love. 

Twister Adopted!

Twister: Rescued August 3rd and Adopted August 9th. Twister and his siblings were going to be euthanized because of an upper respiratory tract infection. Although he is still overcoming the respiratory infection they were kind enough to look over that. It wonderful to see our efforts put into saving Twister and his siblings turn into success. Twister will be enjoying the rest of his life in his new home, and right now an only child. He still has to finish his course of antibiotics. We will be getting him neutered August 26th, once he has fully overcome his respiratory infection (hopefully).
